Luxury Bali Holidays from India, Planned by Bliss Travels

Bliss Travels is a Mumbai-based luxury travel company creating private, tailor-made Bali holidays for couples, families, honeymooners and multi-generational travellers from India. We plan each journey around your preferred hotels, pace, interests and travel dates, from private pool villas and beachfront resorts to Ubud’s rainforest setting and Uluwatu’s dramatic coastal scenery.

Our founder, Amisha Shetth, personally visits the properties she recommends to clients. We use that first-hand experience, along with our hotel and local-partner relationships, to help you choose where to stay and how to organise your time. We can also plan around vegetarian and Jain dietary requirements.

Whether you want a relaxed week at a luxury resort or a longer journey combining Bali’s beaches, countryside and culture, we build the itinerary around you rather than asking you to fit a fixed package.

Bali at a glance

Planning question What to know
Best time to visit April to October is generally the drier period. May, June and September are useful months to consider, depending on your priorities and dates.
Suggested trip length Seven nights is a useful starting point; 9–11 nights gives you more time to combine different regions without rushing.
Main arrival airport Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS), near Denpasar.
Currency Indonesian rupiah (IDR).
Best trip style A private itinerary combining two or three areas, with accommodation and travel time planned around your interests.

Weather varies, and rain is possible outside the wet season. School holidays, festive dates and popular travel periods can also affect hotel availability and rates. The right dates depend on whether your priority is beach time, sightseeing, family activities, wellness or a quieter stay.

Which part of Bali should you stay in?

Bali is not one single resort destination. Its regions have distinct settings and travel rhythms. Choosing the right base, or the right combination of bases, can make a bigger difference to your holiday than adding more activities.

Area Best suited to What to expect
Nusa Dua Resort-focused holidays, couples and families Established beachfront resorts, resort facilities and a more contained holiday setting.
Ubud Culture, nature and wellness Green landscapes, rice terraces, temples, arts, local experiences and jungle or river-valley accommodation.
Seminyak Dining, shopping and a livelier atmosphere Restaurants, boutiques, beach venues and easy access to a more active social scene.
Uluwatu Couples, villa stays and coastal scenery Clifftop properties, ocean views, sunset settings and a more spread-out coastal experience.
Sanur A gentler coastal pace A more relaxed seaside atmosphere that can suit travellers who prefer a less nightlife-focused base.

Should you stay in one area or split your stay?

For a seven-night holiday, two bases are usually a sensible starting point. Pair Nusa Dua with Ubud if you want resort relaxation alongside culture and nature. Choose Uluwatu and Ubud if you prefer clifftop views, private villas and a quieter inland stay. Seminyak can be a better fit if restaurants and shopping matter more than seclusion.

With nine to eleven nights, you can consider three areas, provided the transfers fit comfortably into the schedule. Moving hotels too often takes time away from the holiday, so we balance variety against the effort of packing, checking out and travelling between regions.

Choosing the right luxury accommodation

A hotel's location and character should suit the trip, not just its star rating. A beachfront resort, a private-pool villa and a jungle retreat can all offer very different experiences.

Beachfront resorts

A resort in Nusa Dua may suit travellers who want to spend substantial time enjoying the property, with restaurants, pools and beach access close at hand. This can work particularly well for families and for anyone who prefers not to organise every day around excursions.

Jungle and river-valley retreats

Ubud offers a different kind of stay. Properties set among tropical greenery or river valleys create a natural base for cultural visits, wellness time and slower days. Consider how far you want to travel for restaurants and sightseeing, as a secluded setting may involve more transfers.

Private pool villas

A villa can offer greater privacy, flexible shared space and room for families or groups travelling together. Before choosing one, compare the number of bedrooms, layout, dining arrangements, location and services included. A private pool is not a substitute for checking whether the property is suitable for young children or travellers with mobility requirements.

Clifftop resorts

Uluwatu is worth considering if ocean views, sunsets and a dramatic coastal setting are high on your list. The terrain and distances between properties and restaurants can make transport planning important, especially if you want to go out each evening.

Why first-hand hotel knowledge matters

Amisha personally visits the properties she recommends to clients. That experience helps us discuss a property's setting, atmosphere and suitability in the context of your trip, rather than selecting accommodation on photographs alone.

Bliss Travels also has relationships with hotels and local travel partners. Depending on the property, booking terms and availability, these relationships may help us request room preferences, amenities or special touches. Upgrades and additional benefits are not guaranteed and should be confirmed for the specific booking.

Planning Bali for couples, families and different travel needs

The best itinerary depends on who is travelling and what a successful holiday looks like to them.

  • For couples and honeymooners: Decide how you want to divide your time between privacy, beach days, dining, wellness and exploring. A clifftop stay in Uluwatu combined with time in Ubud can offer two contrasting settings without filling every day with activities.
  • For families with children: Consider resort facilities, room configuration, travel times and the balance between excursions and downtime. Younger children may benefit from fewer hotel changes, while families with older children may want to include cultural activities and outdoor experiences.
  • For multi-generational families: Plan around the needs of the group rather than assuming everyone wants the same schedule. Comfortable transfers, accessible accommodation, meal preferences and the option to split up for certain activities can make the trip easier for everyone.
  • For vegetarian and Jain travellers: We can support vegetarian and Jain dietary requirements when planning the holiday. Tell us about the requirements before accommodation and dining arrangements are finalised. For strict Jain needs, clarify ingredients, preparation methods, cross-contamination concerns and any requirements relating to onion, garlic or other ingredients directly with the relevant restaurant or property. Specific arrangements should be confirmed in advance.
  • For wellness-focused travellers: Consider a slower itinerary with time for spa treatments, yoga, nature and restorative stays. Avoid scheduling so many excursions that the holiday becomes another timetable to manage.

How much does a luxury Bali holiday cost?

The base price for a private luxury Bali holiday typically starts at approximately ₹9 lakh per couple for a one-week journey, excluding international flights. This is an indicative starting price, not a fixed package rate; your final quotation is confirmed individually based on your time of travel, specific itinerary, seasonality, chosen locations across the island, accommodation category and inclusions.

The main factors that influence your quote are:

  • Seasonality and dates: Demand and hotel rates vary considerably around peak travel months, school holidays, festive periods and specific island events.
  • Specific itinerary and locations: Splitting your stay between inland Ubud, rural Sidemen and coastal Uluwatu adds private transfers and changes the accommodation budget compared to a single-base stay.
  • Accommodation category: A standard resort suite, multi-bedroom oceanfront villa and private-pool compound carry very different price points.
  • Trip length: Additional nights increase accommodation costs but allow a more relaxed, unhurried pace.
  • Flights and cabin class: International airfare should be evaluated separately unless your quote explicitly includes it.
  • Private experiences and dining: Dedicated chauffeur-guides, excursions, wellness treatments, private boat charters and curated dining arrangements shape the overall total.
  • Meals and other inclusions: Check whether daily breakfast, additional meals, entrance fees, local taxes and airport transfers are included.

Rather than relying on a headline figure that may not reflect your preferred season or villa choice, request a quote based on your actual trip. Make sure you know whether the amount is per person or per couple, whether it assumes twin sharing, how many nights it covers, and whether international flights are included.

How to compare Bali holiday quotes

A lower headline price does not always represent the better-value holiday. Ask each provider to quote on a comparable basis.

  • Match the dates and duration. Compare the same arrival and departure dates and number of nights.
  • Compare the exact accommodation. Check the property's name, room category, occupancy and meal plan.
  • Check the transport arrangements. Confirm airport transfers, inter-hotel transfers, sightseeing transport and whether a private vehicle is included.
  • List the included experiences. Identify which excursions, guides, entrance fees and activities are included and which are optional.
  • Review taxes and payment terms. Check what is included in the total, along with deposit, cancellation and amendment conditions.
  • Confirm special requests. Dietary requirements, room preferences, celebration arrangements and any requested hotel benefits should be documented, with availability confirmed where applicable.

Ask for a clear written itinerary and quote before deciding. This makes it easier to compare the overall experience rather than just the initial amount.

An example of an 11-day Bali journey

A longer holiday can give you time to experience several sides of Bali. Our published Bali sample itinerary illustrates a route through Nusa Dua, Ubud, Seminyak and Uluwatu.

The itinerary includes stays at The St. Regis Bali Resort in Nusa Dua, Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Ubud, The Legian Seminyak and Bulgari Resort Bali in Uluwatu. The route combines beachfront resort time with a green inland setting, Seminyak's dining and shopping scene, and the coastal landscape around Uluwatu. It also includes a Nusa Penida excursion.

This is a reference itinerary, not a promise that every property, room or activity will be available for every set of dates. The sequence and length of each stay can be adjusted around flight timings, preferred accommodation, budget and the interests of the people travelling.

For some travellers, two areas will make more sense than four. For others, a longer trip provides the time to experience each setting without rushing. The itinerary should be the starting point for a conversation, not a schedule you have to follow unchanged.

Flights from India to Bali

Bali's main international airport is Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS). Nonstop and one-stop options exist from Delhi and Mumbai, but routings are changing for the 2026–27 winter season. Check the operating airline's schedule for your exact dates before booking; connections and journey times can vary.

When comparing flights, look beyond the advertised duration. Check the connection airport, total transit time, baggage rules, arrival time in Bali and how that arrival aligns with hotel check-in. If you are travelling with children or older family members, a longer but more comfortable connection may be preferable to a tight transfer.

If your holiday includes multiple regions, we can plan the ground itinerary around your confirmed flights and the transfer times between accommodation.

Bali entry requirements for Indian travellers

Entry requirements can change, so check the official Indonesian immigration and Bali tourism websites before departure. The information below is a planning guide, not a substitute for confirming the rules that apply to your passport and travel dates.

Do Indian passport holders need a visa for Bali?

Indian travellers should not assume that entry is visa-free. Indonesia's Visa on Arrival (VoA) and electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VoA) options are available to eligible travellers, subject to the current conditions. The published VoA fee is IDR 500,000 for the standard 30-day stay. Confirm eligibility, permitted activities, fees and validity before travelling.

Apply through the official Indonesia e-Visa portal if you choose the electronic option. The passport details on your application must match your travel document. Indonesian immigration guidance for e-VoA states that the passport must be valid for more than six months and that a return ticket must be presented. Entry remains subject to the immigration officer's decision.

Is there a Bali tourist levy?

Bali's tourist levy is IDR 150,000 per foreign visitor under the published rules. Check the current guidance and payment process on the official Love Bali website.

Is an arrival declaration required?

Indonesia's All Indonesia arrival declaration applies to international travellers. Complete the declaration through the official All Indonesia portal within the permitted pre-arrival window, currently up to three days before arrival. Recheck the latest instructions before your journey and keep any confirmation available as directed.

Before departure: Confirm visa eligibility and validity, passport requirements, return or onward travel documentation, the tourist levy and the arrival declaration using the official portals. Check these again close to travel, particularly if regulations or procedures have changed since booking.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best time to visit Bali from India?
April to October is generally the drier season. May, June and September are useful months to consider if you want to balance weather and demand, but the best dates depend on your plans, school holidays, hotel availability and budget. Rain can occur at any time.
How many days are enough for a Bali holiday?
Seven nights is a practical starting point for a first visit, particularly if you want to combine two areas. Nine to eleven nights allows more time for three or more regions, provided the route is planned sensibly. A shorter resort-focused trip can also work if you prefer to spend most of your time at one property.
Is Bali suitable for a luxury family holiday?
Yes, Bali offers beachfront resorts, villas and inland retreats that can suit different family needs. The best choice depends on children's ages, room arrangements, preferred activities, travel times and the facilities you want at the property. We recommend planning downtime as well as excursions.
Can Bliss Travels arrange vegetarian and Jain meals?
Yes. We can plan for vegetarian and Jain dietary requirements. Share the details before booking so that suitable properties and dining arrangements can be discussed and confirmed. Strict dietary requirements should be checked directly with each property or restaurant.
Can Bliss Travels arrange hotel upgrades or special amenities?
We can request suitable room preferences, amenities and special touches through hotel relationships where applicable. These depend on the property's policies, booking conditions and availability, so they cannot be guaranteed unless confirmed in writing.
Is it better to stay in one Bali hotel or move between regions?
For a week-long holiday, two areas are a sensible starting point. A longer trip may accommodate three areas or more. The decision should reflect your interests and the time needed for transfers, rather than the number of places you can fit into the itinerary.
How do I get a quote for a luxury Bali holiday?
Start with your approximate travel dates, number of travellers, trip length, preferred accommodation style and main interests. Tell us whether flights should be included, and share any dietary, accessibility or celebration requirements. Bliss Travels can then discuss suitable options and prepare a proposal based on the trip you want.
