Sample 10-Day Luxury Botswana Journey

DAY 1: Arrival in Maun → Okavango Delta

Arrive in Maun, connect with a light aircraft charter into the Okavango Delta. Enjoy a scenic flight over deep waterways before settling into your luxury camp (e.g., Jao Camp). Conclude the day with a quiet mokoro ride and sundowners.

DAY 2: Okavango Delta (Water Safari)

Embark on a private helicopter flight over the delta channels for photography. Spend the afternoon exploring deep lagoons by motorboat, culminating in a private picnic lunch on a secluded island.

DAY 3: Okavango Delta (Land Safari)

Conduct a morning game drive in search of resident leopards and wild dogs. After midday relaxation, participate in a walking safari guided by an expert tracker, followed by a night drive.

DAY 4: Moremi Game Reserve

Fly by light aircraft to the Moremi Game Reserve and check into Mombo Camp. Head out on an afternoon game drive focusing on big cats, followed by a wine-paired bush dinner.

DAY 5: Moremi (Full-Day Safari)

A full day dedicated to tracking prime game. Sunrise private game drive with a catered bush breakfast, followed by an afternoon of rest, photography reviews, or spa treatments.

DAY 6: Moremi → Makgadikgadi Pans

Transfer by charter aircraft to the dry salt pans of Makgadikgadi. Check into the vintage-themed Jack's Camp. In the late afternoon, explore the vast salt flats by quad bike.

DAY 7: Makgadikgadi Pans (Desert Immersion)

Walk alongside habituated meerkats at sunrise. Spend the afternoon learning desert survival skills from a San Bushman tracking guide, ending the evening stargazing under clear desert skies.

DAY 8: Makgadikgadi → Chobe (Savute Concession)

Fly north to the Savute region of Chobe National Park. Check into Belmond Savute Elephant Lodge. Spend the afternoon tracking resident lion prides and visiting ancient rock art sites.

DAY 9: Chobe Riverfront

Transfer to the Chobe Riverfront area. Settle into Chobe Game Lodge and embark on a private boat safari to observe large elephant and buffalo herds crossing the river at sunset.

DAY 10: Departure via Kasane or Victoria Falls
